I want to pay tribute to the man who created a new generation of technology through his innovative ideas. Without him, the world of film would not be the same. Pixar would have ceased to exist and the world would have never grown up with Toy Story or cried to the beginning of Up. The visceral design of Final Cut would have never changed the way films are edited today. Having lowered the cost of filmmaking and generally made the editing process easier, independent filmmakers and film students will eternally be grateful.
His death came too soon. This generation would not have been the same without him. His influence will forever live in the world of technology and we will never forget what he has done for us.
“Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven’t found it yet, keep looking, and don’t settle. As with all matters of the heart, you’ll know when you find it.” - Steve Jobs
